I got the the start in time to see all the speedy half marathon girls run past the 5k start area. I did a 2 mile warm up and waited for the race to start. I was surprised how small it was, I was thinking it was a bigger race. Overall a good race for me. Legs felt decent but could tell they were a bit tired. The first 2 miles I actually felt really good but I faded quickly after that. I was hoping that I could keep up a 6:50 pace but I fell off the last mile. AngieB and Josse were there at the end to help me in which was much appreciated.

Ran back to my car for a 5 mile cool down. AP 8:26

I've kinda been sucking at my HMP workouts which makes me question if I'm capable of pulling off a 1:30 at UVM. Today was meant to be a 3x2 mile hmp workout. I managed 1.5, 1, 1, 1 and some pickups on the way home. Hopefully I'm putting in enough work to get close to my goal. If I need to adjust my expectations I'm ok with that too.

Started up Emigration for 4x1 mile repeats w/ 2 min jogs and 4x400. I didn't push myself very hard but I was definitely tired by the end. Just feel tired.

Ran with Amber, Rachelle, Melissa, and Carrie in the Break3 relay team. Total time for us was 3:02:11 I ran the 4th leg and felt really good. There was a few times that I thought I needed to slow down but I made myself keep going. It was tough but I've done plenty of down hill miles lately to know I could muster up the strength. I was pleasantly surprised to see the exchange half a mile before I was expecting. Took a minute to catch my breath at the exchange then worked on catching back up to Carrie to help her to the finish. We came really close to 3 hours and am proud of all the girls today. Amazing group to run with. Good day for a race :)

decided to ride 80 miles today. partly for tradition, partly because strava told me to. started from home and rode up big cottonwood then over to emigration. stopped at ruth's for lunch with a friend then rode the rest of the way up and back home. almost a perfect 80 mile round trip. going up big cottonwood my legs were tired and I was thinking maybe 50 would be alright. after lunch I got some energy and made it the whole way. fun day.

I decided to do my long run today instead of yesterday, just wasn't feeling like I would have done well. Emi down w/ 3 mile warm up, 4 mile tempo 7:10, 6:59, 7:06, 7:10 and another faster mile thrown in towards the end. Leg felt ok but this still kicked my butt.

Rode around the valley. went into the old neighborhood. felt pretty decent and felt good to ride on wasatch again. Hiit arms/abs in the evening.

Ran the UVM half course with Amber, Rachelle and Julia. I wasn't sure how'd I'd feel today based on how tired I've been on most of my runs lately. This was my last long run before my taper so I needed it to go well. I was pleasently suprised to feel really good. Amber and I did a tempo from mile 8 through 10. 6:50, 6:56, 6:56(6:54 ap). I felt good! The last mile was hard but doable. Makes me happy.
