what are you a huge fan of? heavy runs are worth twice the mileage you know

From Ericka on Wed, Jan 21, 2009 at 16:15:11

Eh. I feel more like a fan of running lately than a participant. I can't wait for spring so I can get outside more and get out of the rut I feel like I'm in.

According to you I only have 2 miles to go to make my 8 miles this week. Wahoo!

Good girl! you made it a whole 10 miles. Are you going to make 12 next week?

Running MilesSwimming YardsBike Miles

Lifted lower.  I kept getting light headed though.  I don't know if it was cause I ran faster but that's not usual.

I think I'm going to try to workout in the morning(key word try). There's way too many people at night right now at the gym.  That means I need to go to bed before 1am

Are you planning any 5k or 10k race anytime soon?

Just for fun of course...

From Ericka on Sat, Feb 07, 2009 at 20:09:35

Kinda... I'm planning on doing a couple 5k's with my roommates(just for fun). But yeah, I'd like to do a spring race to kinda see where I'm at. Hopefully get some PR times come summer.

I decided to go on the trails up Provo Canyon with my step dad, and SHOOT, that thing kicked my butt!! It was slushy and muddy, and I was a little too concerned about keeping my shoes clean.  It was a lot of fun though, and I managed to keep my shoes clean.

From Ericka on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 15:44:31

Most runs still feel pretty heavy. Every once in awhile I get a good one, but what are ya gonna do? I suppose I could sleep more and eat better, but I don't know that I'm that disciplined... I like my sugar too much.

Spin...U liking spin it seems to be the happen thing these days. BTW - Was the full class upstairs? Where'd you hit the slopes....

From Ericka on Fri, Feb 20, 2009 at 09:40:31

I'd much rather be on the road but spin is the closest thing to it.. it's a good workout and if your going to be on a stationary bike for an hour it's the way to go. Solo get a bit boring but I did have Britney and Rihanna to keep me company so it was doable.

I went to Park City. It was the first time I'd been there. It's a good resort but the snow was pretty packed which makes it hard to learn on. Sundance's snow was a lot better but the resort isn't as cool. Where do you go?

From nfroerer on Fri, Feb 20, 2009 at 10:37:00

I hit SnowBasin. The snow was a little rough in the morning, but after a few runs it softened up and was awesome. I haven't been to Park City for a few years - I agree - lots of runs and a nice resort.

Ya on my dreadmill runs I have VH1 going and they serve up a little Rihanna and Britney which is good.

Good day!  I wasn't planning on running today but La called and wanted to go. We ran from home and past a couple condos for sale. When we got back we looked them up, which inspired an idea.  I thought about it all day and feel like it's the right thing to do for me.. I feel like a weight has been lifted off me of sorts.  I just need to run it past mommy dearest, but we've already kinda talked about it.  Any hoo, I'm glad I went out today :)

Oh... good stuff. I like rather love both kinds. The homemade variety wins, but the mini sandwhich cremes and chocolate chocholate chip are very tempting and I give in every once in a while to let me know I'm alive... I mostly run so, I can eat the 'evil' stuff.

Woke up to go run and bike with Jos & Michelle and it was quite the almost adventure.  My tires were completely flat so I tried pumpin them up but in my attempt to take the pump thinger off the valve I ripped the valve away from the tube... yes I'm that buff. We decided to take off and change the tube when we were done running. So after running behind Jos for 3.05 miles we tried our darndest to change the tube but I broke the tool... no I didn't learn the first time.  Any hoo, I sat in the car for an hour or so while they took off in the freezing cold... Kinda jealous but then again my toes didn't freeze.

Nevels- geo caching, yes that was it, I knew that didn't sound right. Have you done it before?

jun- I like it but the rocks scare me!

From Nevels on Fri, May 29, 2009 at 15:44:03 from 131.204.15.93

Unfortunately, I have yet to get around to it, but I've heard that there are some pretty interesting caches around here, so it is definitely on my to-do list...

Rocks on trails bothered me for quite a while, but the more miles you run on them, the stronger you'll get, which will result in less-sore feet/joints, and fewer turned ankles. Enjoy!

That was a no go(I'm really stumped as to why). Went to the UVM to throw in a little support then went to the Provo River 10 Miler to see my mom at the finish. Then I went out for my own little run. Tired but okay. I borrowed my mom's Garmin which was probably not a good idea cause I'm gonna want one now. <3 Wow! no motivation this week. Josse called me to see if I wanted to go w/ her to map out a training run course. The plan was to run with her but when we were ready to start I knew I would feel not so hot, so I just went 2 then rode w/ her.  Josse always makes things eventful and didn't let down today. fell off bike, spray painted herself and managed to create a scene with bike issues further down the trail... It made me laugh :)

Went out with Heather from her house out to the lavender fields and back. Sooo Gorgeous!! Lots of cool(visually and temp) cloud cover, purple and green fields with a mountain back drop... what else could you ask for. We weren't really focused on time, we were just out the to have a good time.

It was nice to see you Friday! I had a great time and I loved seeing everyone in one place. I'm so glad you and Josse came. You guys cracked us up during the game of the villagers and werewolves. That was really fun. Have a great week spinning and burning!
